After 40 years of dedicated service to the university, Sherri Smith retired from the Stamps School in 2018. She was among the first group of faculty to teach in the Art & Architecture Building and built the school’s vibrant fibers program.

Sherri Smith played a major role in shaping fiber art as a creative field and inspired generations of artists through her teaching. Her influence on the school and the broader creative community has been profound.
